Words with Jam.

My article on ten words that should be abolished is on page 25 of April Words with Jam, out now.  How exciting is that?  Off to have a read now.  Looks like a really good issue.  This is a magazine that gets better and more interesting as time goes on.

  1. That is exciting! I'll go look at your list and see if I agree with any of them. (I'm in there too - but just for being rude)

You're right, it's an interesting magazine.

  2. Hey Patsy, what page are you on? Let me guess, I'll go and read it now. P.s. I've just sent in another article that is really rude for me... You know when you want it to be accepted, but maybe...??

  3. You've written something rude? I'm shocked!

I did agree with your banned words - well, maybe I wouldn't ban all of them entirely, but I certainly don't think we should use them 24/7 ;-)

  6. Hello again Patsy, not that rude, but not what I'd normally send out.

I'm posting this here instead of under your P.G. Wodehouse post so you don't miss it.
Have you read PG's Performing Flea? It's a series of letters from him to a friend and there's some great info on the way Wodehouse constructed his plots and built characters.

I've put on my 'short story' hat again and am tiptoeing back into womag land - which is how I found your blog.

    Best
    Pat

  10. Hey Pat, another P.G. fan. I'm just finishing Leave it to Psmith, it's so funny, and thanks for the tip on Performing Flea. I'll put it on my 'to get' list. Good luck with your stories. Great to know someone else loves the comical master. I introduced his books to my daughter, she remarked how poetical his prose is. I'll stop now because I could go on and on about the writer. Thanks for your comments.
