People's Friend & Poetry.

Had a rejection from People's Friend this morning.  Reason being, the story was not appropriate for P.F.  So I've got this weeks magazine, and reading through the brilliant stories to see where I'm going astray.

I've entered a poetry competition here Your comments or votes would be hugely appreciated, thank you in advance.

  1. Snap - I had a reject from them today! I've come to the conclusion that I can't write anything appropriate for PF. Oh well.

    I'll go read your poem.

  5. Thanks Patsy for your comment and vote on the poem. Also, glad it's not just me that's not appropriate for P.F. I know my stories are not that bad, and yours are brilliant, so keep on sending, I will.

  6. Hi Pen and paints, thanks for the vote on my poem, and thanks for the reassurance that I'm not alone in being non appropriate. Feels a bit like being told off at school for wearing the wrong shoes doesn't it. I'll persevere though, I'm determined to have a story in P.F.

  7. Hi Jarmara,
Thank you. I'm studying this weeks P.F. and then I'll write a story that hopefully will be more appropriate. Will keep you posted.

  8. Sorry for the return of your story, Suzy, but don't worry, they're sending an awful lot of those type of rejections now.

Loved your poem and have voted for it - but forgot to leave a comment. Was at a weekend conference and trying to catch up on wall-to-wall emails etc!
