Oh my gosh!

Oh my gosh I've signed up to twitter.  Haven't a clue what I'm up to on there, and should be writing instead of blogging and twittering.  All good fun though.

I'm twittering, (or will be when I get used to it) as Jonessuzy.

Have a great bank holiday weekend everyone.

My Acumen poetry book came the other day.  I've got a letter printed in there.  Patricia Oxley the editor of Acumen asked in the last issue if poetry was a hobby or a way of life.  I'm a great lover of poetry, both reading and writing.  This was the gist of the letter.  I'm thrilled to have a letter in Acumen, can't seem to get the poetry she's looking for at the moment, but will keep trying.  I'm a writer, that's what we do.

Brixham Harbour.

Torbay poetry competition is now open for submissions.  Details can be found on Acumen website.

Isn't that town the quaintest place?  Gets into your heart as soon as you arrive there.

  1. You twit! (is that the correct term for a Twitter user?)

  2. Oh, please let me know how you get on with twitter, Suzy. It's the one thing I've avoided so far!

Your photo took me back to a day visit we made to lovely Brixham when we took the children to Torquay on holiday many years ago.

  3. I'm on Twitter - but never really got on with it. I don't think I've updated it since last June! Hope you have better luck than me!

  4. I'm a twit too... But I lost interest as it isn't like blogging. I'm on Facebook too, but I found I would rather blog.

I think what it is, is that I enjoy putting a posting together and then reading the comments left by others, where twittering is a quick chat among friends and you have to be online to chat.
Well that's how I understand it to be, so I shall be interested to know how you get along, Suzy.

  5. Hi Patsy,
I feel a total twit. Me and my daughter sat for an hour (she's on twitter) trying to get the hang of how to say 'hello' to each other. Then we said, 'Why don't we just say hello and go and plant tomatoes instead!!'

  6. Hi Rosemary,
I love blogging. So much more personal. Think when you have a book like you, and how I hope to one day, it may be useful. Like when they ask you 'what's your publishing platform?' My best platforms were those from the seventies.

  7. Hi Amanda,
I doubt I'll use it much, more just to say I've got a twits account.

  8. Hi Jarmara,
I'm with you all the way. Blogging is top dog for me. Tweeting is for birds. Useful to have that 'publishing platform'!?? though.:0

  9. I have never touched Twitter. It just doesn't appeal to me at all. Nor have I been to Brixham! But I would very much like to, it looks lovely. I adore places with harbours where you can sit and watch the boats come and go.

  11. Hi Joanne,
I think I only joined because our daughter is on there and I'm more inquisiteve than anything else. If you adore harbours, you'd love Brixham.

    Hi Sally,
Will let you know. I'm enjoying blogger at the moment. Should be writing though...
