I finished nano, I have 50,379 words now to edit and sort out, but for now, I'm going to put them away
I'm having problems accessing my wordpress blog, so it may have been compromised I think. Never mind, I'll make a new one....
Don't know why I'm squinting so much in this photo, or perhaps I do that all the time.

Summer Holidays - a story for children.
I've published an e - story for children. It's about a boy called Alex, who goes on holiday with his mum and step-dad. An escapist kind of story for 7 - 10 year olds, or anyone who refuses to grow up.
You can find it here. Hope you and the children enjoy it if you read it.

Have cliches got any place at all?
I'm going to get slated by every editor around, but I like cliches...
Where would our advertising people and newspaper journalists be without their bags full of slogans and catchy jingles? I put it down to the fact that I listened to the radio a lot growing up; as well as that I was brought up in cliches. Without realising, we use them all the time in everyday speech, that's why I think they do have a place: even if it's to define a character in speech.

When is a cake not a cake?
When it's a lemon drizzle with a slice from the middle. Scrumptious!
